How We Calculate Delivery

ROYAL MAIL HAVE NOW INCREASED THEIR PRICES WHICH HAS FORCED US TO INCREASE OUR PRICES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN TWO YEARS AS WE CAN'T SUSTAIN BIGGER LOSSES ON POSTAGE.
As an online-only business, we can only use the postal system to send and receive your jewellery and there are costs associated with this. We don't make any money from postage so what Royal Mail charges us has to be passed onto the customer like most other small UK businesses.
We want to ensure that your valuable jewellery is as safe and secure as it can be both on its way to us and then once a repair has been completed on its way back to you. It is, for this reason, we offer several different return postage methods.
Sending your jewellery through our pre-paid service is always Royal Mail Special Delivery with £750 insurance and you only ever pay this if you proceed with your repair.
To be as transparent as possible, here is how our delivery charges are broken down:
Royal Mail 24 Tracked with Signature (not insured) - We charge £15.00 (Cost to us £16.30)

- Cost to send your jewellery back to you - £5.20
- Cost of consumables both ways - £3.15

Royal Mail Special Delivery with £750.00 Insurance - We charge £18.00 (Cost to us £19.55)

- Cost to send your jewellery back to you - £7.95

Royal Mail Special Delivery with £1000.00 Insurance - We charge £19.00 (Cost to us £22.55)

Royal Mail Special Delivery with £2500.00 Insurance - We charge £28.00 (Cost to us £29.55)
- Cost to send your jewellery into us via the pre-paid service - £7.95
- Cost to send your jewellery back to you - £17.95
- Cost of consumables both ways - £3.65

The cost of consumables on Special Delivery is higher as we are charged more for the bags and there is always an extra layer of protection used as the supplied Royal Mail envelopes are not padded the same as the ones we use for Royal Mail 24 Tracked.
